ErgoLight reports should be generated only after the site releaseThe objective of ErgoLight site navigation usability reports is to provide information about the experience of real site visitors, doing their real internet navigation, in their real environment. These requirements may be met only after the site has been release for the public. Accordingly, ErgoLight usability diagnostic reports should be derived during the tuning stage only, after the site has already been released. They should never be derived and used for alpha or beta testing. ErgoLight diagnostic usability reports are generated by analysis of logs of the site navigation. Therefore, they can be generated only after the site has been released for public navigation and run for a while. Typically, 20,000 sessions (site visits) should be sufficient to get statistically significant diagnosis; Accordingly, diagnostic reports can be generated only after this amount of data is already stored in the site FTP. RepetitionsWhile the common practices are typically conducted once before each site release, ErgoLight reports may better be generated repeatedly, to enable continuous fine tuning of the visitor experience. |
